Every day, people walk through the doors of the National Indigenous Residential School Museum carrying different understandings of Canada’s history.
Some arrive already familiar with the legacy of residential schools.
Others are learning about it for the first time.
And occasionally, museum staff encounter visitors who question whether parts of that history happened at all.
